한라산 중턱, 우거진 제주 원시림의 풍경 속 오래된 산장이 있다. 창 밖을 바라보는 것만으로도 휴식이 되는 이 공간은 건축주의 다도와 명상을 위해 차분하고 정적인 분위기의 공간으로 디자인 하였다.
한라산의 안개와 바람, 울창한 숲을 있는 그대로 느낄 수 있는 고요한 휴식에 집중한 공간이며, 현무암, 삼나무, 흙과 같은 제주 자연의 재료와 거친 질감의 마감재를 사용하여 산장을 둘러싼 숲과 어우러질 수 있도록 계획하였다.
Nestled on the slopes of Hallasan, amid the dense landscape of Jeju’s native forest, stands an old mountain lodge. Simply gazing out through its windows offers a sense of rest. This space was designed with a calm and contemplative atmosphere to support the client’s practice of tea ceremony and meditation.
Dedicated to quiet retreat, the lodge allows guests to fully experience the mist, wind, and lush forests of Hallasan just as they are. Natural materials native to Jeju—including basalt, cedar, and earth—along with finishes of rich and rugged texture, were carefully selected so that the architecture could harmoniously blend into the surrounding woodland.
